Emergency Dentist in Rome, NY — Open 7 Days a Week
Dental emergency? We're here when you need us — including evenings and weekends.
Get Out of Pain Today
A cracked tooth at dinner. A knocked-out tooth at a weekend soccer game. Pain that wakes you up at 3 AM. Dental emergencies don't check your calendar first.
That's why Rome Dental is open seven days a week — including Saturdays and Sundays. We offer same-day and next-day appointments for dental emergencies.
What Counts As A Dental Emergency?
A dental emergency is anything that needs immediate attention to relieve pain, stop bleeding, or save a tooth: severe toothache, knocked-out tooth, cracked/chipped tooth, lost filling or crown, abscess or swelling, broken denture, bleeding that won't stop.
Is A Cracked Tooth A Dental Emergency?
It depends on the crack. A small chip that doesn't hurt can usually wait a few days. But if you have pain when biting, sensitivity to hot or cold, or you can see a deep crack — call us right away.
What Should I Do If My Tooth Gets Knocked Out?
This is time-sensitive. Find the tooth, pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse gently if dirty, try to put it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Call us immediately — the best chance of saving the tooth is if we can reimplant it within 30-60 minutes.
Can I Go To The ER For Tooth Pain?
You can, but the ER typically can't do much for dental problems. They can give you pain medication and antibiotics, but they won't fix the underlying issue. If it's during our hours, calling us first will get you actual treatment.
